Pearl Jam publicará un álbum en vivo de 1998

Pearl Jam publicará un álbum en vivo grabado en Melbourne, al comienzo de la gira ‘Yield’ en 1998. Este lanzamiento había sido descartado por el sello, pero finalmente después de 25 años será lanzado.

‘Give Way’ llegará a través de Legacy Recordings el 22 de abril en formatos de doble vinilo y CD como parte del Record Store Day. El trabajo cuenta con 17 temas de un concierto de la banda grabado el 5 de marzo de 1998 en Melbourne Park.

Esta actuación fue retransmitida en directo por radio e internet, y acabó siendo pirateada. Epic Records planeó el lanzamiento, sin embargo, canceló la promoción del disco, lo que provocó la destrucción de casi todas las 50.000 copias del CD. Los que quedaron se convirtieron en artículos de colección y se vendieron por alrededor de $ 600.

 

RECORD STORE DAY 2023

 

El 22 de abril de 2023 marca una nueva edición del Record Store Day bianual.
